Just One Thing

Two Door Cinema Club is an indie band from Northern Ireland. (All the best music comes from Europe, but I might be biased. Europe rocks.) The band consists of three guys, two of whom went to middle school together.  There debut album Tourist History won the Irish Album of the year in 2010.

This is a really great remix of their song "Something Good Can Work" done by Ted and Francis.  Reminds me of Phoenix, which might be why I love it.

Right From The Start

Went to a DeVotchKa concert tonight.  They played this song as an encore and my friend and I fell in love.  Isn't it crazy how much more you can love a band once you see them live?  I mean thats why we go to concerts right? And you can expect me to be listening to DeVotchKa all day tomorrow.

This is them covering Neil Young's "Only Love Can Break Your Heart."

Upside Down

Sufjan Stevens is a singer-songwriter from Detroit, Michigan.  He is best known for his album Illinoise which was number one on Billboard's Top Heatseeker's chart in 2005.

This is one of my favorite songs of his. But to be honest, have no idea when it was written or on what album.

Dark Was The Night

Dark Was The Night is a compilation album featuring music from:
The National, Arcade Fire, Grizzly Bear, Bon Iver, Beirut, My Morning Jacket, Yo La Tengo, Sufjan Stevens, Andrew Bird, Beach House, Spoon, and Iron and Wine (which are some of my favorite artists.) just to name a few.

It was created to benefit the Red Hot Organization – an international charity dedicated to raising money and awareness for HIV and AIDS through popular culture. It was released in February of 2009 and produced by The National's Aaron and Bryce Dessner.

These are my favorite tracks:

Grizzly Bear: Deep Blue Sea

The National So Far Around The Bend

Beirut Mimizan
